For people in Mid North Coast, Northern Tablelands and parts of Northern Rivers and Hunter Forecast Districts.

Issued at 10:54 am Sunday, 11 August 2019.

A complex low pressure system to the south is sending a series of cold fronts sweeping across New South Wales, generating vigorous west to southwesterly winds in most areas, particularly eastern parts. The last of these fronts is expected to clear the region early Monday.

DAMAGING WINDS GUSTS, exceeding 90 km/h at times, are possible about parts of the Hunter, Northern Tablelands, Mid North Coast and Northern Rivers districts today.

Conditions are expected to ease later this afternoon, though winds will remain fresh and gusty about eastern districts for the remainder of the day.

Locations which may be affected include Newcastle, Armidale, Glen Innes, and Grafton.
