Flood Watch Number: 3

Minor flooding and travel disruption remains possible across the Flood Watch area during Sunday and early part of next week.

A tropical low over the western Gulf of Carpentaria is expected to move into the Northern Territory during Sunday. This will continue to enhance showers and thunderstorms over the next 24 hours across the Flood Watch area, with further locally heavy falls likely.

Rainfall totals up to approximately 90 mm have been recorded over parts of the Flood Watch area in the 24 hours to 9am Sunday. River and creek rises are being observed in the areas of heaviest rainfall.

River level rises above the minor flood level are possible which may cause some travel disruption and isolation of communities.

Catchments likely to be affected include:
Settlement Creek

Nicholson River

Leichhardt River

Lower Flinders River

Cloncurry River
