For people in parts of Gulf Country, Northern Goldfields and Upper Flinders, North West, Central West and Channel Country Forecast Districts.

Weather Situation:

A line of gusty thunderstorms are moving across the northwest parts of the state.
Severe thunderstorms are likely to produce damaging winds in the warning area over the next several hours.

Locations which may be affected include Winton, Richmond, Julia Creek, Stonehenge, Evesham Station, Kamilaroi Station and areas to the north of Mt Isa and Cloncurry.

Cloncurry recorded a wind gust of 98 km/hr at 4.10pm
Trepell recorded a wind gust of 109 km/h at 2.40pm
Camooweal recorded a wind gust of 75 km/h as 2.38pm

Queensland Fire and Emergency Services advises that people should:
* Move your car under cover or away from trees.
* Secure loose outdoor items.
* Seek shelter, preferably indoors and never under trees.
* Avoid using the telephone during a thunderstorm.
* Beware of fallen trees and powerlines.
