Goldfields and Upper Flinders Forecast Districts.

A few gusty thunderstorms continue over northwest Queensland, but
have weakened elsewhere.
Weather Situation:
Severe thunderstorms may produce damaging winds in the warning
area over the next several hours. Locations which may be affected
include Croydon, Kamilaroi Station, Augustus Downs Station, Gregory
Downs Station, Blackbull Siding and Iffley.
Thunderstorms have recently weakened or cleared from the North
West, Central Highlands and Coalfields, Central West, Maranoa and
Warrego and Darling Downs and Granite Belt districts and the
warning for these districts is CANCELLED.
Significant wind gusts recorded today were:
Walgett (northern NSW) - 93 km/h at 7.50pm
Longreach - 114 km/h at 7.23pm
Winton - 107 km/hr at 4.56pm
Cloncurry - 62 km/h at 3.26pm
Queensland Fire and Emergency Services advises that people
should:
* Move your car under cover or away from trees.
* Secure loose outdoor items.
* Seek shelter, preferably indoors and never under trees.
* Avoid using the telephone during a thunderstorm.
* Beware of fallen trees and powerlines.
