For people in parts of North Tropical Coast and Tablelands and
Herbert and Lower Burdekin Forecast Districts.

Areas of heavy rainfall continuing about the Wet Tropics coast and
ranges between Innisfail and Ingham.
Bands of heavy showers and a few thunderstorms are likely to
produce heavy rainfall that may lead to flash flooding in the
warning area over the next several hours.
Locations which may be affected include Japoonvale, Tully,
Cardwell, Ingham and Abergowrie.
Recent observations include:
89mm in the hour to 7:45 pm at Bulgun Creek Alert (north of
Tully).
148 mm in 3 hours to 10:30 pm at Davidson Creek
147 mm in 3 hours to 10:45 pm at Upper Murray
131 mm in 3 hours to 11:00 pm at Cardwell
Queensland Fire and Emergency Services advises that people
should:
* Never drive, walk or ride through flood waters. If it's flooded,
forget it.
* Seek shelter, preferably indoors and never under trees.
* Avoid using the telephone during a thunderstorm.
* Beware of fallen trees and powerlines.
