Heavy thunderstorms may continue for a few more hours around the central highlands.

Slow moving clusters of heavy thunderstorms may continue over the warning area in the next hour or two. These storms will be capable of producing heavy rainfall that may lead to flash flooding. Locations which may be affected include Bogantungan, Jericho, Mantuan Downs, Alpha and Carnarvon National Park.
Raymond (west of Springsure) has recorded 94 mm in 60 minutes to 2:40 am.

Queensland Fire and Emergency Services advises that people should:
* Never drive, walk or ride through flood waters. If it's flooded, forget it.
* Seek shelter, preferably indoors and never under trees.
* Avoid using the telephone during a thunderstorm.
* Beware of fallen trees and powerlines.
