Weather Situation: A low pressure trough over Yorke Peninsula is moving eastwards, with associated thunderstorm activity.

Severe thunderstorms may produce damaging wind gusts of 90 to 100 km/h in the warning area over the next several hours. Locations which may be affected include Adelaide, Maitland, Gawler, Victor Harbor, Kadina and Port Wakefield.

A wind gust of 85 km/h was recorded at Edithburgh over southern Yorke Peninsula at around 4pm.

The State Emergency Service advises that people should:
* Secure or put away loose items around your property.
* Move cars under cover or away from trees.
* Keep clear of fallen power lines.
* Stay indoors, away from windows, while storms are nearby.
