Weather Situation: A low pressure trough over central districts is moving eastwards, with associated thunderstorm activity and gusty winds.

Severe thunderstorms may produce damaging wind gusts of 90 to 100 km/h in the warning area over the next several hours. Conditions will ease this evening in western parts of the warning area as the low pressure trough moves east. Locations which may be affected include Port Pirie, Clare, Murray Bridge, Gawler, Meningie, Jamestown, Karoonda, Keith and Burra.

A wind gust of 87 km/h was recorded at Parafield at around 515 pm.

The State Emergency Service advises that people should:
* Secure or put away loose items around your property.
* Move cars under cover or away from trees.
* Keep clear of fallen power lines.
* Stay indoors, away from windows, while storms are nearby.
