Gusty winds contract to eastern districts ahead of a front

A front over Yorke Peninsula will continue to move east over eastern districts today to reach the far northeast this evening.
Ahead of the front, north to northwesterly winds averaging 50-65 km/h with isolated damaging gusts of 90-100 km/h are possible in the warning area over the next several hours.
Locations which may be affected include Renmark, Port Pirie, Clare, Murray Bridge, Naracoorte, Lameroo, Bordertown, Hawker and Jamestown.

Winds averaging 65 km/h with gusts to 96 km/h have been observed at Hindmarsh Island and Strathalbyn earlier this morning.
Wind gusts on Eyre Peninsula overnight reached 87 km/h at Cleve and 89 km/h at Port Lincoln.

The State Emergency Service advises that people should:
* Move vehicles under cover or away from trees;
* Secure or put away loose items around your property.
* Stay indoors, away from windows, while conditions are severe.
