For people in Adelaide Metropolitan, Mount Lofty Ranges, Kangaroo Island and parts of Lower Eyre Peninsula and Yorke Peninsula districts.

Weather Situation: Vigorous North to northwesterly airstream ahead of an approaching front.

Strong north to northwesterly winds averaging 45 to 55 km/h with gusts in excess of 90 km/h are possible over the warning area over the next several hours.

Locations which may be affected include Adelaide, Port Lincoln, Kingscote, Victor Harbor, Tumby Bay and Warooka.

Wind gusts of 85 km/h have been reported at Port Lincoln Airport this evening.

The State Emergency Service advises that people should:
* Move vehicles under cover or away from trees;
* Secure or put away loose items around your property.
* Stay indoors, away from windows, while conditions are severe.
