Damaging winds developing across southern parts of SA on Saturday.

Weather Situation: Strong and gusty winds are forecast ahead of a cold front which will move across the State during Saturday.

North to northwesterly winds are forecast to increase across the State during Saturday morning, with damaging winds possible in parts of the warning area.

Winds generally averaging 45-55 km/h, possibly reaching 55-65 km/h in some parts, most likely on and southeast of the ranges. Wind gusts of around 90-100 km/h are also possible across the warning area during the day.

Winds are expected to ease during the afternoon in western parts and late evening in central parts.

Locations which may be affected include Port Lincoln, Kingscote, Cleve, Warooka, Victor Harbor and Strathalbyn.

The State Emergency Service advises that people should:
* Move vehicles under cover or away from trees;
* Secure or put away loose items around your property.
* Stay indoors, away from windows, while conditions are severe.
