For people in the
Adelaide Metropolitan and
Mount Lofty Ranges districts.

Issued at 1:37 pm Tuesday, 4 July 2017.

A moist and unstable westerly air stream presently over southern parts of the State is resulting in extensive shower activity with isolated thunderstorms.

Shower activity is expected to increase in intensity over the warning area this afternoon and evening then persist into the early hours of Wednesday morning. Periods of heavy rainfall in the warning area during this time may lead to a localised flash flooding threat, particularly about the Mount Lofty Ranges.

The State Emergency Service advises that people should:
* Don't drive, ride or walk through flood water;
* Keep clear of creeks and storm drains;
* Stay indoors, away from windows, while conditions are severe.
