Weather Situation: A tropical airmass in the northwest of the State is likely to produce areas of heavy rain today.

Areas of rain and possible thunderstorms today, may lead to flash flooding over parts of the warning area. Outback roads and tracks may be impacted causing disruption to travel and transport.

Locations which may be affected include Marla, Coober Pedy and the area around Emu Junction.

Thunderstorms and rain at Ernabella/Pukatja overnight produced 109 mm to 9 am, including around 89 mm in the 6 hours to 5 am.

The State Emergency Service advises that people should:
* Don't drive, ride or walk through flood water;
* Keep clear of creeks and storm drains;
* Stay indoors, away from windows, while conditions are severe.
