Flood Watch Number: 3

Strong river rises are occurring in northwest coastal rivers, such as the Leven River. Widespread minor flooding is also expected to develop during Saturday, with flood warnings current for a number of rivers.

Very heavy rain fell overnight in the northwest and Western Tiers with totals ranging from 50mm to 140mm.

Rain has eased to showers, with another 5-15mm expected in the west and northwest. Isolated higher totals up to 25 mm are possible with storms.

Strong river rises are occurring during Saturday in response to heavy rainfall overnight, particularly in northwest coastal rivers such as the Leven River.

Widespread minor flooding is expected, with flood warnings current for Mersey, Meander, Macquarie, North Esk and South Esk.

Arthur River

Flood warnings are current for the following catchments: Mersey, Meander, Macquarie, North Esk and South Esk
