Flood Watch Number: 1

Areas of flooding may develop overnight Friday into Saturday in the Glenelg River catchment.

A strong cold front and associated trough over the Bight are forecast to reach far western Victoria late Friday. A band of rain with a colder westerly change will reach the far southwest during the afternoon and then extend eastwards.

The Glenelg River catchment is wet.

Rainfall totals of around 10 to 15 mm are forecast in the flood watch area during Friday afternoon into early Saturday morning.

River rises are likely in response to the forecast rainfall overnight Friday into Saturday, with the possibility of localised minor flooding developing on Saturday in the Glenelg River catchment.
