Strengthening southwesterly winds.

Weather Situation:
A series of cold fronts crossing south of Victoria will result in squally southwesterly winds across the warning area.

DAMAGING WINDS, averaging 40 to 60 km/h with peak gusts of 90 to 100 km/h, are expected about exposed parts of the Gippsland coast and Cape Otway from Tuesday afternoon, extending into the East Gippsland coast overnight Tuesday.

Locations which may be affected include Wonthaggi, Bairnsdale, Orbost, Mallacoota, Chandlers Creek and Combienbar.

The State Emergency Service advises that people should:
* Move vehicles under cover or away from trees;
* Secure or put away loose items around your house, yard and balcony;
* Keep clear of fallen power lines;
