For people in the Central, South West, Northern Country, North Central, North East, West and South Gippsland, Wimmera and parts of the East Gippsland Forecast Districts.

A low pressure trough over South Australia will move across northern Victoria today and tomorrow.

Widespread rain with isolated thunderstorms are expected to develop across most districts overnight. HEAVY RAIN which may lead to FLASH FLOODING is likely to develop across the warning area on TUESDAY.

24 hour totals of 20 to 40mm are expected in the warning area with totals exceeding 60mm possible associated with thunderstorm activity.

Locations which may be affected include Horsham, Warrnambool, Bendigo, Shepparton, Seymour, Maryborough, Ballarat, Geelong, Melbourne, Wodonga, Wangaratta and Traralgon.

The State Emergency Service advises that people should:
* Don't walk, ride or drive through flood water;
* Keep clear of creeks and storm drains;
* Be aware that in fire affected areas, rainfall run-off into waterways may contain debris such as ash, soil, trees and rocks;
* Be alert that in areas recently affected by fires, heavy rainfall increases the potential for landslides and debris across roads;
