Heavy rainfall possible with showers and thunderstorms.

A near stationary cold front lying over central parts is producing significant rainfall and isolated thunderstorms.
HEAVY RAINFALL which may lead to FLASH FLOODING is possible over parts of the Central, North Central and Northern Country districts and far West Gippsland this afternoon. Rain is expected to ease later this afternoon and evening. Rainfall totals of 20-30mm are possible over short periods of time, while isolated thunderstorms may produce rapid falls of 30-60mm in an hour.
Locations which may be affected include Bendigo, Seymour, Ballarat, Melbourne, Wonthaggi and Bacchus Marsh.

The State Emergency Service advises that people should:
* Don't walk, ride or drive through flood water;
* Keep clear of creeks and storm drains;
* Be aware that in fire affected areas, rainfall run-off into waterways may contain debris such as ash, soil, trees and rocks;
* Be alert that in areas recently affected by fires, heavy rainfall increases the potential for landslides and debris across roads;
