A rainband will develop over eastern areas of the South East Coastal District early Thursday. Possible heavy falls associated with this system are forecast during Thursday.

For the 24 hours to 9 am Thursday, widespread rainfall totals of 15 to 20 mm with isolated totals of up to 40 mm are forecast.

For the 24 hours to 9 am Friday, widespread rainfall totals of 30 to 60 mm with isolated totals of up to 80 mm are forecast.

Significant river rises and areas of flooding may develop in eastern parts of the South East Coastal District during Thursday.

DFES advises people and communities to be aware that flooding is possible and be prepared to relocate equipment and livestock. Watch water levels. Travellers need to be aware that road conditions may be adversely affected and travel plans may need to be reconsidered. Do not drive into water of unknown depth and velocity.
