Queensland Fire and Emergency Services (QFES) advises there is a vegetation fire on the north western side of Sarina.
You need to keep up to date and decide what actions you will take if the situation changes. Residents should be ready to follow their Bushfire Survival Plan.
Currently as at 10.45am Monday 19th October, a vegetation fire is burning in land to the west of the Bruce Highway at the intersection of Broad Street and Brooks Road.
People in the area will be affected by smoke, which will reduce visibility and air quality. Nearby residents are advised to close windows and doors. Multiple QFES crews are on scene working to contain the blaze.
Properties are not under direct threat at this time. Call Triple Zero (000) immediately if you believe you or your property is under threat.
