LOCALLY DESTRUCTIVE WINDS POSSIBLE ABOUT LOFTY RANGES

The Bureau of Meteorology warns that, at 6:35 am, VERY DANGEROUS THUNDERSTORMS likely to produce tornadoes and destructive winds were detected near Elizabeth, Mount Barker and Salisbury. These thunderstorms are moving towards the east. They are forecast to affect Birdwood, Mount Pleasant and Lyndoch by 7:05 am and Eden Valley by 7:35 am.

Other severe thunderstorms likely to produce tornadoes and destructive winds were detected. Thunderstorms are moving towards the east. They are forecast to affect the area east of Mount Pleasant by 7:05 am.

52KT wind gust was recorded at Adelaide Airport at 6:14 am.

The State Emergency Service advises that people should:
* Secure or put away loose items around your property.
* Move cars under cover or away from trees.
* Keep clear of fallen power lines.
* Stay indoors, away from windows, while storms are nearby.
