Heavy rainfall with storms near Bowral.
The Bureau of Meteorology warns that, at 4:10 pm, severe
thunderstorms likely to produce heavy rainfall that may lead to
flash flooding were detected near Bowral and Oakdale. These
thunderstorms are slow moving. They are forecast to affect
Robertson, Colo Vale and the area just east of Bowral by 4:40 pm
and Lake Burragorang, the Burragorang State Recreation Area and
Lake Avon by 5:10 pm.
The State Emergency Service advises that people should:
* Keep clear of creeks and storm drains.
* Don't walk, ride your bike or drive through flood water.
* If you are trapped by flash flooding, seek refuge in the highest
available place and ring 000 if you need rescue.
* Stay indoors away from windows, and keep children and pets
indoors as well.
