The fire near Dirranbandi Hebel Road is still burning. It is travelling towards Dirranbandi. If you left the area, it is not safe to return.

Firefighters are working to contain the fire.

What you should do:
- If you left the area, stay where you are. It is not safe to return.

- Stay informed:

- Keep checking the QFD Current Bushfires and Warnings website.

- Follow QFD on Facebook and X.com.

- Listen to your local radio station.

If you stayed:
- If you have a bushfire survival plan, follow it now.

- Be ready to leave in case the situation changes:

- Charge mobile phones and power banks if you still can.

- Be ready to take your pets, pet food, pet lead or crate/carrier.

- Pack a bag with mobile phone charger, enough clothes for five days, important documents (like ID, insurance papers, passports and photos), medicine, cash and keys.

- Decide where you and the people you live with will go if conditions get worse. Plan how you will get there. Tell others where you are going.

- There is an evacuation centre at St George Cultural Centre and Hall, 112 Victoria Street, St George. You should bring sleeping gear like pillows and blankets if you can.

- If you have livestock you can take them to St George Showgrounds, 3-27 Victoria Street, St George.

- Avoid driving on St George Dirranbandi Road and Wheynbah Road.

- Check road closures and traffic updates at the QLD Traffic website or call 13 19 40.

- Move flammable items away from your house if you can.

- Watch out for firefighters working in the area.

- Do not fly drones around the fire. Drones affect air operations.

Impacts:
- Fire may have damaged property.

- Smoke can make it hard for some people to breathe.

- Smoke can make it hard to see when you are driving.

- Roads may be closed or impacted.
