MINOR FLOODING LIKELY WITH ISOLATED MODERATE FLOODING POSSIBLE
FROM OVERNIGHT MONDAY INTO TUESDAY FOR THE NORTH TROPICAL
COAST
A weak trough along the northern QLD coast brings moist, onshore
flow over the next few days. Moderate rainfall is forecast along
the North Tropical Coast with localised heavy falls possible
overnight Monday into Tuesday which could extend more broadly to
the north of Bowen on Tuesday and Wednesday.
Catchments across the Flood Watch area remain wet to saturated
from rainfall over the recent days.
Showers, storms and areas of rain are forecast to continue over
the next few days across parts of the North Tropical Coast.
Minor flooding is likely with isolated moderate flooding possible
overnight Monday into Tuesday across the Flood Watch area.
Catchments likely to be affected include:
Daintree River
Mossman River
Barron River
Murray River
Herbert River
Black River
Ross and Bohle Rivers
Flood warnings are current for the following catchments: Mulgrave
and Russell Rivers, Johnstone River and Tully River.
