Severe thunderstorms continue for inland Capricornia.

Weather Situation: An upper trough is enhancing surface troughs and combining with a very humid environment. This is leading to thunderstorms over the tropical north and central region.

Severe thunderstorms are likely to produce heavy rainfall that may lead to flash flooding in the warning area over the next several hours. Locations which may be affected include Mount Morgan, Blackwater, Baralaba, Woorabinda, Duaringa and Dingo.

Severe thunderstorms are no longer occurring in the Herbert and Lower Burdekin district and the warning for this district is CANCELLED.

103 mm was recorded at Toolakea in the 1 hour to 7:40 pm

89 mm was recorded at Peacock Siding in the 1 hour to 6:58 pm

49 mm was recorded at Lava Plains Road in the 30 minutes to 5:37 pm

91 mm was recorded at Giru in the 1 hour to 2:31 pm

66 mm was recorded at Woman Cemetry in the 1 hour to 8:20 pm

88 mm WAS RECORDED AT GOOVIGEN IN THE 1 HOUR TO 7:36 PM

Emergency services advise people to:
* Park your car undercover away from trees.
* Close doors and windows.
* Keep asthma medications close by. Storms and wind can trigger asthma attacks.
* Charge mobile phones and power banks in case the power goes out.
* Put your pets somewhere safe and make sure they can be identified in case they get lost.
* Do not drive now unless you have to because conditions are dangerous.
* Tell friends, family and neighbours in the area.
* Go inside a strong building now. Stay inside until the storm has passed.
