For people in parts of Capricornia, Wide Bay and Burnett, Darling Downs and Granite Belt and Central Highlands and Coalfields Forecast Districts.

A few severe storms continuing over the wide Bay and Burnett and southern Capricornia.

Weather Situation: Moderately strong instability remains in place over southeast and central Queensland this evening. This is combining with strong winds in the upper atmosphere to provide a favourable environment for the development of scattered severe thunderstorms this evening.

Severe thunderstorms are likely to produce damaging winds, heavy rainfall that may lead to flash flooding and large hailstones in the warning area over the next several hours. The main risk of heavy rainfall is around and just south of the Bundaberg area.

Locations which may be affected include Bundaberg, Monto, Gayndah, Eidsvold, Gin Gin, Childers, Mundubbera and Biggenden
