Heavy rainfall expected with thunderstorms in the northeast this afternoon and evening.

Weather Situation: A moist and unstable airmass over the eastern half of SA combined with an upper low over central parts is leading to a favourable environment for severe thunderstorms. Thunderstorms will be moving in a northwesterly direction across the warning area.

Severe thunderstorms are likely to produce heavy rainfall that may lead to flash flooding in the warning area over the next several hours. Locations which may be affected include Arkaroola.

The State Emergency Service advises that people should:
* Don't drive, ride or walk through flood water.
* Keep clear of creeks and storm drains.
* Stay indoors, away from windows, while storms are nearby.
