Slow moving, heavy thunderstorms are occurring over the over the
Lower South East this morning.
Weather Situation: A very humid airmass is in place near a
stationary trough located over the far southeast of SA. Slow moving
lines of thunderstorms developing in this environment will be
capable of producing heavy rainfall.
Severe thunderstorms are likely to produce heavy rainfall that may
lead to flash flooding in the warning area over the next several
hours. Locations which may be affected include Mount Gambier,
Naracoorte, Robe, Millicent and Lucindale.
Naracoorte recorded 28.2mm in the 2 hours to 10:15am.
The State Emergency Service advises that people should:
* Don't drive, ride or walk through flood water.
* Keep clear of creeks and storm drains.
* Stay indoors, away from windows, while storms are nearby.
