Severe thunderstorms continue in the north of the state.

Weather Situation: An unstable airmass remains over the north with a strong jet stream leading to the development of severe thunderstorms this evening.

Severe thunderstorms are likely to produce damaging winds and large hailstones in the warning area over the next several hours. Locations which may be affected include Dalhousie Springs and the Simpson Desert Conservation Park.

Severe thunderstorms are no longer occurring in the North West Pastoral district and the warning for this district is CANCELLED.

The State Emergency Service advises that people should:
* Secure or put away loose items around your property.
* Move cars under cover or away from trees.
* Keep clear of fallen power lines.
* Stay indoors, away from windows, while storms are nearby.
