Severe thunderstorms continue to develop about central South Australia.

Weather Situation: A low-pressure system combines with an approaching upper-level low resulting in an elevated risk of severe thunderstorms across central-eastern South Australia today.

Severe thunderstorms are likely to produce heavy rainfall that may lead to flash flooding, damaging winds and large hailstones in the warning area over the next several hours. Locations which may be affected include Leigh Creek, Marree, Arkaroola, Parachilna, the area east of Lake Frome, Mungeranie on the Birdsville Track and the Strzelecki Track south of Moomba.

Severe thunderstorms are no longer occurring in the North West Pastoral district and the warning for this district is CANCELLED.

The State Emergency Service advises that people should:
* Secure or put away loose items around your property.
* Move cars under cover or away from trees.
* Keep clear of fallen power lines.
* Don't drive, ride or walk through flood water.
* Keep clear of creeks and storm drains.
* Stay indoors, away from windows, while storms are nearby.
