Damaging wind gusts possible over and to the east of the Mount Lofty Ranges early Tuesday morning.

Weather Situation: A strong cold front over southern South Australia will track southeastwards this evening and move out of the state early Tuesday morning. A vigorous westerly flow will develop over and to the east of the Mount Lofty Ranges in the wake of this system.

DAMAGING WIND GUSTS with peak gusts of around 90 km/h are possible over and to the east of the Mount Lofty Ranges early Tuesday morning.

Winds are forecast to ease below severe thresholds by sunrise.

Locations which may be affected include Mount Lofty Ranges and Victor Harbor.

The State Emergency Service advises that people should:
* Move vehicles under cover or away from trees;
* Secure or put away loose items around your property.
* Stay indoors, away from windows, while conditions are severe.
