Damaging wind gusts possible for parts of the Eyre Peninsula from
tonight.
Weather Situation: A strengthening low pressure system in the
Bight is expected to approach South Australia later tonight and
bring showers and thunderstorms to parts of the Eyre
Peninsula.
Strong winds, averaging 50 to 60 km/h with DAMAGING WIND GUSTS of
around 90 km/h are possible tonight and through Thursday morning
along parts of the Eyre Peninsula, most likely in the west.
Conditions are expected to ease below warning thresholds by early
Thursday afternoon.
Locations which may be affected include Port Lincoln, Elliston and
Streaky Bay.
The State Emergency Service advises that people should:
* Move vehicles under cover or away from trees;
* Secure or put away loose items around your property.
* Stay indoors, away from windows, while conditions are
severe.
