Heavy rainfall across the North East Pastoral, easing later today.

Weather Situation: A rich tropical airmass extends over the centre of the country with a surface trough extending through northeast parts of the state. Meanwhile an upper trough is moving across eastern parts of SA. This combination is continuing to bring the risk of heavy rainfall to northeastern parts of the state today, but conditions are expected to ease from late this afternoon.

HEAVY RAINFALL which may lead to FLASH FLOODING is forecast for parts of the North East Pastoral district today. Six-hourly rainfall totals between 30 and 60 mm are possible, especially with thunderstorms.

INTENSE RAINFALL is no longer expected, with broader conditions expected to ease from the late afternoon.

Locations which may be affected include Moomba, Innamincka, the area east of Lake Frome and the Strzelecki Track south of Moomba.

The State Emergency Service advises that people should:
* Don't drive, ride or walk through flood water;
* Keep clear of creeks and storm drains;
* Stay indoors, away from windows, while conditions are severe.
