Bushfire Watch and Act- Highland Waters, Central Highlands and Surrounds - Monitor conditions as they are changing

This is a BushfireWatch and Act message for Highland Waters in the vicinity of Victoria Valley Road and Wigrams Way - Monitor conditions as they are changing.

The fire is travelling towards Highland Waters.

The fire is expected to be controlled.

Embers, smoke, and ash may fall on Highland Waters in the vicinity of Victoria Valley Road and Wigrams Way.

Tasmania Fire Service, Sustainable Timber Tasmania and Tasmania Parks and Wildlife Service is attending. Conditions are expected to be changeable.

What to do:
Take action now to protect yourself, your family, and your home.

If you are not prepared for a bushfire, be ready to leave for a safer place.

There is a Relief Centre in Hamilton at 15 Franklin Place, Hamilton. Only travel if it is safe for you to do so.

If you have made a bushfire plan, check it now.

If you don't live near Highland Waters in the vicinity of Victoria Valley Road and Wigrams Way, stay away.
