MINOR FLOODING POSSIBLE ACROSS THE FLOOD WATCH AREA FROM SATURDAY EVENING

A low pressure system and associated trough and cold front is moving across
Tasmania on Saturday, bringing rainfall and thunderstorms. This rainfall is
expected to cause river level rises, with minor flooding possible across the
Flood Watch area from Saturday evening.

Catchments in the Flood Watch area are wet and river levels are already
elevated following rainfall over the past few weeks.

Catchments likely to be affected include:

Mersey River

Meander River

Macquarie River

South Esk River

Flood warnings are current for the following catchment(s) : North Esk
