Damaging wind gusts to redevelop through central parts of the state early Tuesday morning.

Weather Situation: A vigorous southwesterly airstream will redevelop over central parts of the state early Tuesday morning, bringing the risk of damaging wind gusts over elevated terrain and their immediate lee slopes.

Strong winds averaging 50 to 60 km/h with DAMAGING WIND GUSTS in excess of 100 km/h are possible over elevated parts of the Central Plateau, North West Coast, Central North and Midlands districts from early Tuesday morning.

Winds are expected to drop below warning thresholds by late Tuesday morning.

The State Emergency Service advises that people should:
* Supervise children closely.
* Check that family and neighbours are aware of warnings.
* Manage pets and livestock.
* Secure outdoor items including furniture and play equipment.
* Be prepared in case of power outages and report any outages to TasNetworks on 132 004.
* Beware of damaged trees and power lines and take care when driving.
* Listen to the ABC radio or check www.ses.tas.gov.au for further advice.
