Central North and Midlands Forecast Districts.

Damaging winds about central and eastern Tasmania tonight.
Weather situation: Strong northwesterly winds are expected to
develop tonight ahead of a cold front expected to cross the state
on Monday.
DAMAGING NORTHWESTERLY WINDS averaging 60 to 70 km/h with peak
gusts of around 100 km/h are likely over central and eastern parts
of the state from late tonight. For exposed elevated areas,
DAMAGING WINDS averaging 70 to 80 km/h with peak gusts of around
120 km/h are possible.
Winds are expected to ease below warning thresholds during Monday
morning, but damaging winds may redevelop again late Monday
evening.
Locations which may be affected include Kingston, Bothwell,
Geeveston, Dover, Strathgordon, Tarraleah, Rosebery, Lake St Clair
and Huonville.
The State Emergency Service advises that people should:
* Supervise children closely.
* Check that family and neighbours are aware of warnings.
* Manage pets and livestock.
* Secure outdoor items including furniture and play
equipment.
* Be prepared in case of power outages and report any outages to
TasNetworks on 132 004.
* Beware of damaged trees and power lines and take care when
driving.
* Listen to the ABC radio or check www.ses.tas.gov.au for further
advice.
