This Watch and Act replaces the Watch and Act issued at 7.06pm 27
December 2024.
Halls Gap and the Grampians National Park remains closed to
visitors.
No access is permitted to the National Park. For further details
visit the Park Victoria website.
Residents only are allowed to return to their properties via the
Traffic Management Points, proof of address will be required.
The bushfire is still not yet under control, the spread of the
bushfire has slowed for now.
If returning to the fire affected area, proceed with
caution.
Burning out operations may be undertaken over the coming days
whenever conditions are suitable to help strengthen our containment
lines. An increase in smoke may be visible in the nearby
communities.
The fire situation can change at any time, you must monitor
conditions and be ready to act.

College Road are, east of Mt William.

It is Not Safe to Return to Long Gully Road to College Road area,
east of Mt William.
There is a bushfire at Grampians National Park is not yet under
control.
There are numerous trees impacted by fire in the area and it is
not safe to enter. Many roads within the fire affected areas have
not been assessed and remain closed due to tree risk. Crews will be
undertaking assessment and treatment over the coming days.

Check you have enough food, drinking water and medications - if
you do not, phone Triple Zero (000) for assistance.
If you have already left:
Do not return to your home until a Safe to Return notification is
issued.
