There is a bushfire in the Tallangatta Valley.

The bushfire is out of control.

Favorable weather conditions are providing an opportunity for our crews to conduct controlled back burning and you may see smoke in the area over the next few days.

There is a relief centre at Wodonga Racing and Exhibition Centre.

Works are occurring to restore essential services.

This Watch and Act warning replaces the Watch and Act issued at 9.14 pm.

This Watch and Act message is being issued for Nariel Valley, Cudgewa, Corryong, Towong, Thowgla Valley, Biggara, Walwa, Burrowye and surrounds

It is Not Safe to Return to Nariel Valley, Cudgewa, Corryong, Towong, Thowgla Valley, Biggara, Walwa, Burrowye and surrounds.

There is a bushfire at 25Km West Of Walwa that is out of control.

Conditions can become very dangerous and unpredictable.

A relief centre is available at the Wodonga Racing and Exhibition Centre Cnr Wilson and Mitchell Street Wodonga.

Works are occurring to restore essential services.

This replaces the Watch and Act message issued at 7:00pm yesterday.

If you left the warning area, it is Not Safe to Return. Be aware of potential dangerous bushfire and tree hazards.

What you should do:

If you have not already left:
Stay where you are and avoid dangerous bushfire and tree hazards.
Check you have enough food, drinking water and medications - if you do not, phone Triple Zero (000) for assistance.
If you have already left:
Do not return to your home until a Safe to Return notification is issued.
A relief centre is open at the Wodonga Racing and Exhibition Centre, which allows pets.
Register at a relief centre so your friends, family and authorities can be informed that you are safe.
Stay informed by listening to emergency broadcasters and monitoring warnings.
