MINOR FLOODING POSSIBLE ACROSS THE FLOOD WATCH AREA

Moderate to locally heavy rainfall has been observed across the Flood Watch area since Monday evening. This has resulted in creek and river level rises. Rainfall is forecast to continue for the remainder of Tuesday into Wednesday, which is likely to cause further rises and areas of minor flooding.

Catchments across the Flood Watch area are relatively wet and stream levels remain elevated as a result of recent rainfall. Flooding is still ongoing in some catchments. Stream levels are likely to respond quickly to rainfall.

Catchments likely to be affected include:
Upper Murray and Mitta Mitta Rivers

Kiewa River

Ovens and King Rivers

Broken River

Seven and Castle Creeks

Goulburn River Eildon to Seymour

Goulburn River downstream of Seymour

Loddon River

Avoca River
