Bushfire Watch and Act
MONITOR CONDITIONS - MYALUP
A Bushfire Watch and Act is in place for people in an area bounded
by Finns Road, Sampson Road and Forrest Highway in parts of MYALUP
in the SHIRE OF HARVEY.
WHAT TO DO
Stay alert and monitor your surroundings as conditions could
change.
You may need to act quickly so ensure you are prepared if the
situation gets worse.
Read through your bushfire plan. If you do not have a plan make
one by visiting My Bushfire Plan.
Have your emergency kit ready.
If you find it hard to move quickly, leaving now is your safest
option.
Keep your doors and windows closed to keep out smoke.
Continue to patrol your property and be ready to put out spot
fires.
If you plan to stay and defend ensure you are mentally and
physically prepared, with protective clothing and an independent
water supply.

Road closures and conditions
Some roads may be closed.
Motorists are asked to avoid the area, reduce speed and drive
carefully. Road information may also be available from Main Roads
WA by visiting the Main Roads Travel Map, calling 138 138 or by
contacting your Local Government Authority.
What firefighters are doing
Firefighters are actively fighting the fire.
Animal Welfare
Owners or carers of livestock, pets and companion animals should
activate their own animal welfare plan. During a bushfire take
advice from Local Government Authorities to protect the lives of
your animals while keeping yourself safe.

The incident was reported at 08:10 PM on 05 February 2025.
The cause of the incident is unknown/accidental/suspicious or
deliberately lit.
People are asked to report any suspicious behaviour to Crime
Stoppers on 1800 333 000.

During a power outage, your home phone, computer or other
electronic devices connected to the NBN will not work. Include a
