MINOR FLOODING POSSIBLE IN THE FLOOD WATCH AREA FROM WEDNESDAY
AFTERNOON
A mature low-pressure system is currently located offshore of the
southern Mid North Coast and is forecast to gradually track
northeastward into the Tasman Sea throughout today. This low is
expected to bring widespread moderate to heavy rainfall across the
Flood Watch area.
The rainfall is expected to ease across the state from
Thursday.
Catchments in the Flood Watch area are relatively wet following
recent rainfall.
This weather system has the potential to cause minor flooding in
the Flood Watch area from Wednesday afternoon. Flood classes
(minor, moderate, major) are only defined for catchments where the
Bureau provides a flood warning service.

Northern Sydney
Southern Sydney
Parramatta River
Cooks River
Minor flooding
Georges and Woronora Rivers
Minor flooding
Illawarra Coast

Tuross River
Bega River
Minor flooding
Towamba River
Snowy River
Minor flooding
Flood Warnings are current for the following catchment(s): Upper
Nepean, Hawkesbury and Lower Nepean, Shoalhaven, St Georges Basin
and Bemm, Cann and Genoa
Flooding is no longer expected in the following catchment(s):
Wallis Lake, Myall and Wollombi Brook and Lower Hunter
