MINOR TO MODERATE FLOODING POSSIBLE FROM WEDNESDAY AFTERNOON FOR
PARTS OF THE CENTRAL COAST
Light to moderate rainfall is forecast over north eastern
Queensland for the remainder of Wednesday into Thursday which may
result in minor to moderate flooding along the Haughton River and
Upper Burdekin Catchment. Further rainfall from showers and
thunderstorms is forecast for parts of northern Queensland over the
next few days, with activity likely to gradually ease over the
coming days.
Flood Warnings are current for catchments in the North Tropical
Coast from rainfall which fell earlier this week and overnight
Tuesday.
Catchments across the Flood Watch area remain wet to saturated
from recent rainfall.
Showers, storms, and areas of rain are forecast to continue over
the next few days across parts of the Central Coast.
Minor to moderate flooding likely from Wednesday afternoon into
Thursday across the Flood Watch area.
Catchments likely to be affected include:
Haughton River
Cape River to Burdekin Falls Dam
Burdekin River to Burdekin Falls Dam
Flood warnings are current for the following catchments: Mulgrave
and Russell Rivers, Bohle River, Black and Bluewater Creeks,
Herbert River and Tully River. Flooding no longer expected along
the Murray River.
