Slow moving storms that are causing periods of heavy rainfall
continue into the late evening.
Weather Situation: A very moist and unstable airmass is in place
over central and northern parts of the state. Severe thunderstorms
are slowly moving are likely to persist throughout the
evening.
Severe thunderstorms are likely to produce heavy rainfall that may
lead to flash flooding in the warning area over the next several
hours. Locations which may be affected include Pentland.
Severe thunderstorms are no longer occurring in the Central West
district and the warning for this district is CANCELLED.
A separate broad Severe Weather Warning for heavy rainfall
persisting overnight and throughout Tuesday is currently in place
for other parts of Northern Goldfields and Upper Flinders, North
West, Central West, Channel Country and Maranoa and Warrego

79.0 mm was recorded at Fletchervale Rd (Wando Vale) in the 3
hours to 8:17 pm
64.0 mm was recorded at Prairie in the 60 minutes to 8:09 pm
71.0 mm was recorded at Glendower Crossing in the 60 minutes to
7:44 pm.
47.5 mm was recorded at Porcupine Creek in the 30 minutes to 6:49
pm.
Emergency services advise people to:
* Park your car undercover away from trees.
* Close doors and windows.
* Keep asthma medications close by. Storms and wind can trigger
asthma attacks.
* Charge mobile phones and power banks in case the power goes
out.
* Put your pets somewhere safe and make sure they can be
identified in case they get lost.
* Do not drive now unless you have to because conditions are
dangerous.
* Tell friends, family and neighbours in the area.
* Go inside a strong building now. Stay inside until the storm has
passed.
