For people in parts of Lower South East and Upper South East districts.

Issued at 8:46 am Friday, 24 November 2023.

Heavy rain possible in eastern SA.

Weather Situation: A strong upper disturbance centred east of the Yorke Peninsula is driving thunderstorm activity in the morning period, with severe thunderstorms possible due to significant moisture and slow storm motion.

Severe thunderstorms are likely to produce heavy rainfall that may lead to flash flooding in the warning area over the next several hours. Locations which may be affected include Naracoorte.

The State Emergency Service advises that people should:
* Don't drive, ride or walk through flood water.
* Keep clear of creeks and storm drains.
* Stay indoors, away from windows, while storms are nearby.
