Severe thunderstorms with heavy rainfall have moved into the western Murraylands.

Weather Situation: A moist and unstable airmass has caused isolated severe thunderstorms to develop about the Adelaide HIlls and have now moved over western parts of the Murraylands. Storms are tracking to the south and southeast and may persist throughout the afternoon.

Severe thunderstorms are likely to produce heavy rainfall that may lead to flash flooding in the warning area over the next several hours. Locations which may be affected include Murray Bridge, Mannum and Tailem Bend.

27.2 mm was recorded at Kersbrook in the 30 minutes to 4:19 pm.

The State Emergency Service advises that people should:
* Don't drive, ride or walk through flood water.
* Keep clear of creeks and storm drains.
* Stay indoors, away from windows, while storms are nearby.
