For people in parts of Gympie, Logan, Somerset, South Burnett,
Brisbane City, Moreton Bay and Redland City Council Areas.

Severe storms continue to move to the north, particularly towards
Brisbane and the adjacent coasts.
The Bureau of Meteorology warns that, at 5:55 pm, severe
thunderstorms likely to produce large hailstones and damaging winds
were detected near Logan Central, Woodridge, Sunnybank Hills,
Archerfield and the area east of Nanango. These thunderstorms are
moving towards the north. They are forecast to affect Brisbane CBD,
Nudgee, Borumba Dam and Elgin Vale by 6:25 pm and Redcliffe, the
area southwest of Gympie, the area south of Gympie and the ranges
between Gympie and Murgon by 6:55 pm.
Emergency services advise people to:
* Park your car undercover away from trees.
* Close doors and windows.
* Keep asthma medications close by. Storms and wind can trigger
asthma attacks.
* Charge mobile phones and power banks in case the power goes
out.
* Put your pets somewhere safe and make sure they can be
identified in case they get lost.
* Do not drive now unless you have to because conditions are
dangerous.
* Tell friends, family and neighbours in the area.
* Go inside a strong building now. Stay inside until the storm has
passed.
