MINOR FLOODING POSSIBLE IN NORTH EAST VICTORIA FROM SATURDAY EVENING
A strong cold front has crossed Victoria with further showers and isolated thunderstorms likely in its wake across the flood watch area.
Catchments in the Flood Watch area are relatively wet. River and stream levels are already elevated due to rainfall over the last week, with minor flooding having only recently subsided in some catchments.
Rainfall totals of 10-25 mm are forecast for the remainder of Saturday and Sunday with higher isolated totals possible in elevated areas.
Renewed river level rises and minor flooding is possible from Saturday evening and into Sunday.
A minor flood warning is current for the Seven Creeks catchment.
Catchments likely to be affected include:
Upper Murray and Mitta Mitta Rivers
Kiewa River (A minor warning is current for parts of Kiewa
River)
Ovens and King Rivers (A minor warning is current for parts of Ovens
and King Rivers)
Goulburn River Eildon to Seymour
Flooding is no longer expected in the following catchments: Mitchell River, Macalister River.
The Bureau of Meteorology is continuing to monitor the situation and will issue catchment specific warnings as required.
